Diana B. Gibbens has been employed by the 19th JDC since August of 2019. She began working as a Staff Attorney until May 2022 when she was promoted to the position of General Counsel. In July, 2023, the Judges of the 19th JDC appointed Ms. Gibbens as Judicial Administrator.

Previously, Ms. Gibbens was a private practice attorney in the fields of successions and civil litigation. With a strong commitment to justice and fairness, Ms. Gibbens’ dedication to upholding the law and ensuring access to justice have influenced her tenure with the court. As Administrator, Ms. Gibbens has assisted with the development of new programs within the court, as well as creating a new organizational structure. With a desire to improve the court’s community relations, Ms. Gibbens is involved with several community organizations including Leadership Baton Rouge, Baton Rouge Bar Association, National Association of Court Managers, and as a member of the Board of Governors for the City Club of Baton Rouge.

Ms. Gibbens attended Louisiana State University for both an undergraduate degree and a law degree. She was admitted to the Louisiana State Bar in April 2003.

Under the direction of the judiciary, the responsibilities of the Judicial Administrator cover a broad scope, including, but not limited to, case flow management, records management, fiscal management, statistical analysis and projections, project implementation, public relations, technology management, court security management, facilities maintenance & space planning, personnel management, implementation of court policies and development of training programs.

The Judicial Administrator has a staff of talented individuals who are committed to meet the needs of the Judges, the public and the court on a daily basis.
