COURT CLOSURE

Governor Jeff Landry (Executive Order JML 24-142) has made a statewide emergency declaration as a result of Tropical Storm Francine. The tropical system is developing in the western Gulf of Mexico and is forecast to become a hurricane as it tracks toward the Louisiana coast. The storm is expected to bring four to eight inches of heavy rainfall across the area primarily on Wednesday and Thursday.

The 19th Judicial District Court will be closed on Wednesday, September 11 and Thursday, September 12. The court will reopen on Friday, September 13 at 8:30 a.m.

The Commissioner on duty will continue to make probably cause determination, but Call-out will not be held until Friday, September 13 at 1:00 p.m.
