Judge Kelly Balfour accompanied by Diana Gibbens gave a presentation to the Baton Rouge Bar Association Young Lawyers Section about what is new in civil court at the 19th JDC. Recent changes by the legislature and the local rules prompt the need for the court to share expectations with attorneys. The attorneys present asked questions and were engaged in the presentation. It is invaluable for an attorney, young or otherwise, to have a Judge share his perspective from the bench. The 19th JDC always enjoys participating in BRBA functions.
